“Break the Huddle, Run the Play!”
“Get off the PEW and DO SOMETHING!”
The HUDDLE is NOT where the WORK IS.
The PEW is NOT where the WORK IS.
1. From the Huddle
2. Before the Huddle
From the Huddle:
TAG your OPPONENT.
FOCUSED and HAVE UNDIVIDED ATTENTION
TEAM MENTALITY
Before the Huddle:
PREPARATION:
A. PUSH YOURSELF to DISCOVER your WEAKNESSES.
Galatians 6:3-4 NIV
3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions.
4 Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else,
1 Sam 17:22-25 NKJV
23 Then as he talked with them, there was the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, coming up from the armies of the Philistines; and he spoke according to the same words. So David heard them. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were dreadfully
afraid. 25 So the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel; and it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich with great riches, will give him his daughter, and give his father’s house exemption from taxes in Israel.”
1 Sam 17:31-32 NKJV
31 Now when the words which David spoke were heard, they reported them to Saul; and he sent for him. 32 Then David said to Saul,”Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”
1 Samuel 17:36-37 NKJV
36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 Moreover David said,”The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
B. DEVELOP ENDURANCE.
James 4:8 NLT
“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”
Philippians 4:13 KJV
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
C. DEVELOP TRUST with your Teammates.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 TLB
12 And one standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer; three is even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken .
D. DEVELOP FOCUS
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 NKJV
12 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
PREPARATION is the most INTENSE and ARDUOUS PART.
