What is it that YOU SEE in faith today?
IMAGINATION – forming mental images or concepts of what is not actually present to the senses.
Jeremiah 1:11-12
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. 12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. KJV
You FEED your VISION or IMAGINATION BY THE WORD OF GOD!!
God’s WORD builds the IMAGINATION of FAITH!
Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. KJV
Genesis 6:5-6
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. KJV
Joshua 1:8
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. KJV
God’s WORD builds the IMAGINATION of FAITH!
Hebrews 3:12-13, 4:1 KJV
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews 6:9 KJV
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
TLB – “9 Dear friends, even though I am talking like this I really don’t believe that what I am saying applies to you. I am confident you are producing the good fruit that comes along with your salvation.” TLB
1 John 3:18-21
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. The spirit of man is always trusting God.
Your soul (mind, intellect, personality) is not always trusting God.
Galatians 5:22-23 KJV
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The challenge is your SOUL. (Careful, lest be found in you an evil heart of unbelief.)
Your SPIRIT is always in AGREEMENT with God.
But your SOUL is not. The CHALLENGE is to get yourself in AGREEMENT with God. That’s believing with ALL your HEART and that is when you see MIRACLES happen.
Hebrews 10:35 KJV
“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.”
John 14:16 KJV
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;”
John 14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” KJV
John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” KJV
John 15:26
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: KJV
John 16:7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” KJV
John 14:17b “…for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” KJV
His REPORT about you is NOT going to MATCH the DEVIL’S REPORT!
The Holy Spirit’s job is to show you that you are NOT TRUSTING in the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
2 Samuel 12:7-10 KJV
7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; 8 And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. 9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. 10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.” KJV
Not because of THE SIN ITSELF but because he DESPISED GOD!
The fact is his HEART had drifted from God and that is what took him away from God.
He allowed TEMPTATION to draw him away from God.
James 1:13-16
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
