Key Words:
Supernatural – departing from what is usual or normal especially so as to appear to transcend the laws of nature.
Take Away:
- Hope, faith and love received and shaped from a divine source lifts us from the mundane to the supernatural.
- The Holy Spirit presses you towards the pattern of the Christ!
- The Holy Spirit empowers you to share Christ boldly, give you strength when you are weak, have hope in a hopeless world, and experience all the fullness of God.
Let’s Talk:
Have you ever witnessed someone express love to a person who you thought didn’t deserve it?
Why do you think they were able to express love to an
undeserving person?
Have you ever expressed love towards someone who wasn’t able
to love you back? If yes, what made that possible? If no, why
were you unable to extend love?
Let’s Think:
The Born-Again experience is twofold, first Jesus provides forgiveness of
our sins, second, He sends the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. Many
Christians recognize our need for Jesus, but never allow a place for the
Holy Spirit to work in their lives.
Have you asked the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you?
Here are three areas the Holy Spirit wants to help us in.
- Comfort (John 14:16)
- Counsel (John 16:13)
- Conviction (John 16:8-9)
In what ways can the Holy Spirit help you in these three areas?
Going Deeper:
The Holy Spirit enables Christians to have the power to live a supernatural life. Here are 4 areas that the Spirit will give us power for. What area’s do you struggle with? Choose one area and ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Take one step of faith in that area this week.
- Sharing Christ boldly. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)
- Areas that you feel weak in. (Romans 8:26)
- Bringing hope to someone who feels hopeless. (Romans 15:13)
- Experiencing more of the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:16-19)
Walk It Out:
Monday: Unfollow or leave a group on Facebook that keeps you in a state of
or argument.
Tuesday: What one thing are you seeking God for a supernatural answer?
Wednesday: Note one thing today where you needed to be immediately
obedient. Where you?
Thursday: Pray earnestly to have an open heart each day for the Holy Spirit
To guide you to supernatural faith, hope, love.
