Signs of the time?
What do we do?
We are a counterculture (life, light and love)
Hebrews 10:23-25 “…stir up love and good works
John 10:10 “…life in abundance”
Matthew 5:13-14 “Salt of the earth…light of the world”
- We exist to see people transformed by Jesus
- We must build healthy churches growing people in Christ
- Transforming lives by Jesus
- Brownwood must be healthy and Jesus followers
- Central hub
- Vision for other communities (plant VLC)
- Develop leaders of impact
- Broadcast facility (Pastor Smee is uniquely qualified)
- Conferences (Marriage, Leadership, etc.)
- “I can come on the weekend and send signal out”
- Continue to foster Unity
- Racial reconciliation
- Serving other churches and community
- Identity (who we are)
- We must build healthy churches growing people in Christ
Galatians 3:26-29 (NLT)
This a very powerful message. We live in a world today that lacks these 3 things. Today’s world is living in death, darkness, and hate and we as the church are the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14)! We as the church need to stand against these things with these things: Light, life, and love!
We live in a world that lacks these 3 things and today’s world lives in death, darkness and hate. Our world today is blind to these 3 things! We as a church need to stand against the darkness and bring the light. We are to be a counter culture to hate, death, evil, unthankfulness, unforgiveness. All the hate and violence is being done and the name of good. We have to learn how to respond.
