PREPARED FOR PURPOSE (Notes 12 29 19)

Pastor Stan Roberts

Sometimes we MOVE IN FAITH not even KNOWING what TOMORROW will LOOK LIKE…

Hebrews 11:8 TPT

8 Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and LEAVE THE FAMILIAR TO DISCOVER THE TERRITORY HE WAS DESTINED TO INHERIT FROM God. So he left with only a promise without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith.

1 Kings 3:5 KJVA

“In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.”

If you are not overwhelmed by your assignment then you don’t see your assignment clearly!

Matthew 6:33 NKJV

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Matthew 6:33 NLT

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

When your priorities are right there is a trickle down effect of things you don’t pray about!

UNDERSTANDING OUR ROLE IN GOD’S PURPOSE

Joshua 8-1:5 NKJV

5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.

6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

You actually have a ROLE to play in INFLUENCING the OUTCOME OF YOUR LIFE!

You become Discouraged by what you are HUNGRY FOR in God but are NOT SEEING!

Your hunger for God can take you to one of two places….

Faith and a breakthrough Or

Discouragement and Depression

HUNGER is Recognizing NEED.

HUMILITY is Recognizing SOURCE.

If you feel your job is to give directions to God on what He is supposed to do, you will be frustrated your entire Christian life! – Bill Johnson

If you feel your job is to take directions FROM Him, you will be delighted in His goodness all the days of your life! – Bill Johnson

2 Cor 5:14-21 NKJV

14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. NKJV

Everyone has a RIGHT to REJECT or RECEIVE the GOSPEL!!!

Genesis 11:1-9 KJV

1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. KJV

Genesis 9:1

1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. KJV

Genesis 6:1-8

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face

of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. KJV

The CHOICE IS OURS!

Colossians 2:6-10 KJV

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: KJV

YOU have a RIGHT to RECEIVE or REJECT HIM!

Why don’t we?!

1 PEOPLE DON’T KNOW.

Romans 10:14 NKJV

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

NKJV

2 CHRISTIANS NEED REMINDING.

2 Peter 1:12-13 KJV

12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

If God is trying to STIR US UP then He is trying to GET US MOVING!

If He can GET US MOVING then He will EMPOWER us for SERVICE.

How can you EMPOWER something that is NOT MOVING or INACTIVE?

You don’t GAS UP a CAR that is NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!!!

How are you going to be a SOLDIER if you keep RUNNING FROM THE FIGHT?

How are you going to SEE the fourth man in the FURNACE if you don’t get NEAR THE FURNACE?

How are you going to see the SALVATION of the LORD if you don’t get into the FIGHT?

How are you going to WIN THE FIGHT if you don’t START SWINGING!!!!

GET INTO THE FIGHT!

Titus 3:1-11 NLT

1 Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. 2 They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. 3 Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.

4 But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, 5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

7 Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. 8 This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.

9 Do not get involved in foolish discussions about spiritual pedigrees or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Jewish laws. These things are useless and a waste of time. 10 If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. 11 For people like that have turned away from the truth, and their own sins condemn them.
